Yaoer Zeng(b. 1994, China) is an interdisciplinary artist based in Berlin.

in her practice, she playing a variety of media, including painting, installation, and video, Yaoer constructs a contextual space that encourages the exploration of non-binary narratives and openness, questioning how the hegemonic narrative guides us into traumatic events In a society system filled with daily trauma, and how to construct a narrative using an alternative mode of thinking.

Her work primarily centers around the theme of indivisual history and mysticism. Through sharing writing memory in her practice processing, and discussing the oral history with surrounding communities in the daily life, to renarrative the symbol and sensation from ancient/folk tales with ancient myths featuring resilient cross-species figures, visual resources. She is also interested in healing practices from mysticism, such as shamanic rituals, psychedelic plants, dreams, and nature. From her micro-perspective and the edge of dark humor, she aims to create a narrative space challenging the binary storytelling of identity history, trauma, and the process of healing.

She graduated from Chelsea College of Arts, (London, UK) her works has been featured in group exhibitions in Leyden Gallery, London, UK, Martingoyabusiness Gallery, Hangzhou, China, Beijing design week, Beijing, China.
